  The first waitress of the evening that we had was lovely! The second waitress - boy was she terrible. My friend had ordered a pasta dish and explained that she was vegan so she didn't want any meat in the pasta. When the pasta arrived at the table, it had grated cheese on the top (which we didn't realize came on it), so we asked the waitress about it. She said that she couldn't do anything about it because if she took it back to the kitchen, the cost of the food would 'be taken out of her pay cheque' - she didn't even offer to have it remade without the cheese, and told us we would still have to pay for it. She then proceeded to offer my friend fries as an alternative to the pasta, and had someone else bring them to the table. When we received the cheques, the waitress had charged for BOTH the pasta AND the fries (even though the fries were the 'alternative') so I asked to speak to the manager. The waitress went and spoke to the manager who didn't even have the decency to come over to the table, and the resolution was only 25% off the total cost of the bill (which didn't even cover the cost of the fries that had been charged to us).
  
  I am extremely disappointed in the way that this waitress handled things so unprofessionally, and the manager didn't even have the common courtesy to come over to our table when I asked to speak to her. I will definitely NOT be returning here again.

  Great staff, great food, great service. Go here all the time. The uniforms, however, are completely unacceptable in 2017, and I always feel guilty for being a customer. It's not the girls' fault, it's owner/ management. Time to get a little more modern and a little less sexist. Change the uniforms and you'd get a five from me.

  I enjoy going here for their cheap wings, good food for the price. Larger patio space than most downtown restaurants. McCabe's has a good burger!

  Service was very slow. Waited to be served for at least five minutes after being seated. Then waited for about ten minutes before getting our simple beer order. And then, the water arrived a couple of minutes after the beer. The food arrived equally slowly.
  That being said, the food was good, not great.

  Better than most of the bars in downtown Guelph. Good food, reasonable prices and good atmosphere during the day and late at night.
